Description
The Great spotted woodpecker scientific name: Dendrocopos Major is also known as Chiku, chomping wood, huabender wood, huapecker wood, white flower woodpecker, woodpecker crown and wood crown. Small birds, 20-25 cm long. The upper body is mainly black, with white forehead, cheek and ear feathers, and a large white spot on each shoulder and wing.
