Description

The New Taipei City Thirteen Hanging Museum is located on the left bank of Bali, New Taipei City, Taiwan. In 1957, the Thirteen Hanging site was surveyed and named and registered as a third-level national historic site. In 1989, the Bali sewage treatment plant was to be built on the Shisanhang site, which prompted various parties to rescue the Shisanhang site. The rescue plan determined that the preservation area of ??the site would be 3136.9 square meters, and a sewage plant would be built in the remaining area. In 1995, the Executive Yuan meeting decided to allocate land from the sewage treatment plant to establish the Shisanhang Site Cultural Relics Exhibition Hall. It is the first municipal archaeological museum in Taiwan. The purpose of the establishment is to preserve and promote the prehistoric culture of the Shisanhang Site. The total number of buildings and squares is about four hectares, including the main building complex as a display context, with permanent exhibitions of important cultural relics unearthed from the site, special exhibition halls, and archaeological learning and experience rooms. The museum introduces past relics and backgrounds such as the Thirteen Lines Culture, the Botanical Garden Culture, and the Yuanshan Culture.
