Description
The surface entrance to a matmur (underground grain store) outside the ruins of a kasba (or qasba, fortified settlement) near the Moroccan town of Imouzzer Kandar in the province of Sefrou. The chamber beneath the surface was like a deep wide well roughly shaped like a huge jar. It kept the grain or pulses inside sheltered from rain heat and cold.
