The wooden gate with brandy was built by a villager at the entrance to his house in order to preserve the local tradition. The people of Maramures are very welcoming people and treat everyone who crosses their threshold. Whoever passes through this gate can drink a free glass of tuica made in the house by the same man, the owner of the house. This brandy never ends because from the brandy barrel through a hose it reaches the gate where there is a wooden faucet and a clay mug!
