Description
China's deepest lake, changbai mountain tianchi, located in southeast in jilin province, is China and north Korea's tianchi lake, just north of lake in jilin province, is the source of the songhua river. Because it's position is high, the water surface elevation 2150 meters, so called tianchi. Changbai mountain was a volcano. According to history record, it broke out three times since the 16th century, when volcano spit out a lot of lava later, crater formed basin, time grows, the water into the lake, became the tianchi now.
