Toa Payoh Seu Teck Sean Tong was first constructed in the mid Autumn of 1942. It was then only a simple attap hut located at a place officially known as “Hup Choon Estate”. As it was also a branch of the Seu Teck Group, it was formally named as the “Seu Teck Temple Hup Choon Estate Branch” in 1946.
