Tamagawa Benzaiten, a shrine in Ota-ku, Tokyo, Japan #307588094
Description
The date of Tamagawa Benzaiten's construction is unknown, but it has been enshrined as a Benten shrine since ancient times, and there is a sacred body that Kobo Daishi created himself by hardening the ashes of goma. On the other hand, with the development of new rice paddies on Kanamejima (the site of Haneda Airport), Benten Shrine was built and enshrined as the lower shrine. In September 1945, the Allied Forces ordered the evacuation of the area, and the lower shrine (now Tamagawa Benzaiten) was relocated to the site where Suijinsha used to stand. This shrine is one of the Haneda Seven Lucky Inari Meguri.
