Wounded Bald Eagle Glaring At Me With Its Good Eye Stock Photo

Mature Bald Eagle with a horrific wound suffered in its right eye. The large bird was sitting in a low tree only about ten feet off the ground and looked totally bewildered by its reduced visibility and acuity. Dried blood can be seen on the feathers around the wound. The eagle was located at the Clarence Cannon National Wildlife refuge in east central Missouri along the Mississippi River flyway for migrating waterfowl.
