The belted kingfisher is often seen perched prominently on trees, posts, or other suitable watchpoints close to water before plunging in headfirst after its fish prey . Chokoloskee Bay is roughly ten miles long and two miles wide. It s located along Floridaâs Gulf Coast and is separated from the Gulf of Mexico by the Ten Thousand Islands.
