This delightful pure white Snowy Egret is a delightful addition to my day. Their whiteness sets them apart from most other white birds. "Snowies" have the whitest of white feathers complemented by a black beak and a superior feather quality which almost made the species extinct in the 1930's. Their feather adorned many women's hats during that period.
