February Snowstorm Against a Red House in New Jersey with a Slow Shutter Speed #308390448
Description
The photographer must make a decision during this blowing February snowstorm in New Jersey. Should one try to capture the movement of the flakes or stop the action, or something in between. This image has a wider, panel-like shape and was captured with the Canon R mirrorless 35mm camera using a 24-105mm F 4.0 lens. The snow flakes appear to frozen because of the very fast 1-1,250th-second shutter speed yielding a stop-action effect. The lens was set at and a mid-range aperture at F 6.3. The ISO is set at 800 to compensate for the very high shutter speed. The 24mm setting on the lens rendered a smaller central portion which was cropped a good deal.
