Description
It is said that this hill appeared in September 595 (3rd year of Emperor Suiko) and was protected by a dragon. When this region suffered from drought in 601 (9th year of Emperor Suiko's reign), Kangiten and Eleven-faced Kannon were enshrined here. Matsuchiyama was once a mountain from which you could see the surrounding area, and writers and artists visited this area during the Edo period.
