Greaves, or knemides, served to protect the legs of the ancient warrior. This paired specimen was discovered in a mound on the land of Mirza Kekuvatsky on the Kerch Peninsula. Forged from bronze in the second half of the 4th century BC. Exhibited at the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg. Russia
