Nephology is the science of clouds, physics branch of meteorology.Undulatus clouds form perpendicular to the direction of the wind. More specifically, a lifting, large air mass spurs the formation of these clouds, which may be followed by condensation and possible instability. Also, pilots recognize undulatus clouds as a sign of wind shear and may create slight turbulence for a flight. Undulatus clouds similar to cloud streets. Undulatus clouds form perpendicular to the wind, while cloud streets form parallel to the wind. Or a Cirrus Uncinus cloud, Maresâ Tails, with a contrail. Contrails are a form of cirrus cloud, and if there is enough moisture in the air, a contrail will eventually spread to be indistingushable from the surrounding cirrus.
