Description
This building is thought to have been built in the 14th century and was one of the large gates of the golden age of Majapahit. According to records from the Mojokerto Archaeological Heritage Conservation Agency, this temple gapura functions as the entrance to a sacred building to commemorate the death of King Jayanegara, who in Negarakertagama is called "returning to the world of Vishnu" in 1250 Saka (around 1328 AD).
