Title
Western or European honey bee Apis mellifera 5 #314436609
Description
Just like with humans when there are a lot of people in their home or other building, when there are a lot of bees at one time inside of the hive during the warmer months, with all of this bee activity inside, the temperature inside can become too hot for the eggs inside. The bees inside will come out, to give the inside of the hive a chance to cool down. As see of a swarm of Western or European honey bees, Apis mellifera, at the Carpinteria Salt Marsh 1 April 2024.
