Vincenzo Davalle Hotel 1254 1262 Montgomery Street San Francisco 2 #314543833
Description
San Francisco is very well known for her hills, very wind swept hills. Because of this, the first structure on this lot was actually a wind mill, used to grind coffee beans. This beautiful building we now have started out as just one story, in 1861. Some time in the 1880's, the two additional floors were added by Vincenzo Davalle to be used as a hotel. Although the hotel did not last, at least this building has, and is not apartments. As enjoyed 10 April 2024.
