Pictured is an informational engraved granite plaque for the Uvalde County Courthouse in downtown Uvalde, Texas. The structure was completed in 1928 and is the fifth for Uvalde County which was created in 1856. The architect was Henry T. Phelps and the prominent local builder was M. H. Ryland. Green B. Fenley Jr. was the county judge. The style is neo-classical and outstanding features include its cast stone segmental arches and iconic porticoes at the entrances. It received a Texas Historical Commission Official Historical Medallion in 1983.
