a cascade of seven water reservoirs in gluszyca #316098158
Description
During World War II, the Potok valleys were in the area of ??construction of underground adits and factories of the Third Reich's arms industry. Although no works were carried out there, the spring streams were crossed by narrow-gauge railway lines, which supplied the construction sites with building materials and enabled the removal of stone spoil from the tunnels under construction. Water necessary for construction works was also drawn from the ponds on the Marcowe Streams. Above the three ponds, near the confluence of the Marcowy Ma?y and Du?y Streams, in the years 1944-1945 there was one labor camp in which about 200 prisoners were gathered, employed, among others, in drilling underground workings, building railways, material storage areas, forest roads, drainage systems of the slopes of W?odarz and Moszna.
