Description
Khanom Bueang, also known as Thai crispy pancakes, is a popular street food in Thailand. An ancient Thai dessert said to date from the Ayutthaya period, the bite-size snacks resemble Mexican tacos. Batter is cooked on a hot plate and then topped with meringue, followed by sweet or salty toppings such as shredded coconut, Foi Thong (sweet egg yolk) or chopped scallions.
