Description
Indra, the Hindu god of battle and victory, and King of the Devas, is a popular deity in Thailand. Associated with the sky, lightning, and war, many come to the shrines to pray for protection, victory and success in their personal and professional lives. Worshippers usualy make offerings of marigold garlands as well as model elephants, as Indira's mount is the elephant Airavata (Erawan).
