Elegant, Gangly Southern African Giraffe. Stock Photo

These beautiful, elegant giraffe are native to Southern African countries and can be identified by the blotches on their coats which differ from other African giraffe. The giraffe's long neck has, surprisingly, the same number of vertebrae as humans, i.e. 7. They feed off foliage high in the savannah, especially Acacia trees. Most of these photos were taken in the Kruger National Park
