Dripping Sunlight Another sun beam in Upper Antelope Canyon, Arizona. This one hitting the colorful walls of Navajo sandstone where the light appears to be dripping down. The Canyon was formed by erosion from flash floods and rain water. These flash floods can still occur, they can also be very dangerous, in 1997 11 tourists were killed in a flash flood of Lower Antelope Canyon. The Native name for Upper Antelope Canyon is Tsé bighánÃÂlÃÂnÃÂ, meaning the place where water runs through rocks.
