Old parabolic offset antenna attached to the wall of a wooden wall. #317569549
Description

Parabolic antenna for receiving satellite TV transmissions attached to the wall of a wooden house. DBS TV - Direct Broadcast satellite television, also known as "Direct-to Home television" (DTHTV), allows reception with parabolic antennas. The satellite signal is a weak signal from a long distance that can be received with a satellite dish. The antenna reflects the signal at the focal point where a device called a "feedhorn" (waveguide) is mounted which leads the signal to the receiving element, called a "low noise block" (English: low-noise block - LNB or low noise-converter LNC). There are two types of parabolic antennas, called "offset" and "prime focus". Offset antennas: have the LNB receiving element located eccentrically to the center of the antenna, in a secondary focus they generally have a diameter of up to 1.8m. Prime focus antennas: the LNB is located in the center of the antenna in the main focus they are larger, 3m, or even 3.5m in diameter.
