Description
Ixora coccinea is a flowering shrub native to Southern India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. It can grow to be 4â6 feet tall and 4â8 feet wide, and blooms from June to September. The plant prefers full sun and light levels that are bright enough to read a newspaper. It has tubular flowers that open into 4â5 spreading lobes, and grows in tight clusters at the ends of the stems. The stems are often woody, and the leaves are leathery.Â
