Ixora Coccinea Stock Photography

Ixora coccinea is a flowering shrub native to Southern India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. It can grow to be 4–6 feet tall and 4–8 feet wide, and blooms from June to September. The plant prefers full sun and light levels that are bright enough to read a newspaper. It has tubular flowers that open into 4–5 spreading lobes, and grows in tight clusters at the ends of the stems. The stems are often woody, and the leaves are leathery.
