Rava meaning semolina and kesari refers to saffron color. It is flavored with cardamom powder. The classic ingredients used for its preparation are semolina, sugar, ghee , water, and milk. The sweet is more commonly known as Jonnadula Halwa in certain parts of northern India. The precise composition of kesari bath varies regionally depending on the availability of ingredients. like milk kesari, pineapple kesari, mango kesari, Karnataka style kesaribath, rava kesari, vermicelli kesari, aval kesari .oha kesari. sooji kesari, sooji halwa, sheera or semolina kesari.ingredients and Instructions: ¼ cup ghee 15 cashews . 1 tbsp dry grapes. ½ cup sooji. 1 2 cup water a pinch of turmeric powder a pinch of salt.sugar, as required. 2 tbsp saffron water. ¼ tsp cardamom. add in the cooker, water, sugar, cardamom powder, turmeric and a pinch of salt. Start cooking and let it simmer. let this mixture is boil, in a pan ,the rava, ghee, cashew. do not stop sauteing , till the rava the rava is fully roasted, and the cashew nuts turned golden and the rava changed colour. When the sugar mixture comes to a full boil, add in the roasted hot rava into the sugar water mixture. switch off the stove. add rava, mix well and cover the cooker with the lid and add in the weight. switch off the stove, open the cooker after 20 minutes and mix the kesari well. The rava would have absorbed all the moisture, serve hot.
