Red shoots or Syzygium oleana is a shrub that is popular as an ornamental plant. The shape of the leaves is small and elongated, resembling needles. The leaves of red shoots usually change color, namely when they are just growing they are bright red, then turn brown and then turn green again. The single leaf is sharp, the stalk is very short, grows opposite and the upper surface of the leaf is shiny.
