Description
The Brahmaputra river originates from the Kailash ranges of Himalayas at an elevation of 5300 M and also one of the largest rivers in Asia. It is one of the longest rivers in India, and it flows from the Himalayas to the Bay of Bengal. The river has a total length of 2,900 km. It is an important source of irrigation in the states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal. The river is characterised by its powerful currents and that's the reason it is referred to as a 'male' river.
