Pictured is a young African bush elephant drinking from the Chobe River with chacma baboons in the background in Chobe National Park in Botswana, Africa. The elephant may drink 11 gallons of water a day. In the background a mother baboon is sifting through elephant dung with her child. The baboons are attracted to tasty morsels of fruit and seeds they find in the dung that has passed undigested through the elephants digestive tract. The binomial name of the elephant is Loxodonta africana and the baboon is Papio ursinus. They were photographed from a safari boat based at the Chobe Game Lodge.
