Chichiriviche is a town in the Venezuelan state of Falcón, situated on the eastern coast, 195 km southeast of Santa Ana de Coro and serving as the capital of Monsignor Iturriza Municipality. As of 2011, it had a population of 18,960 inhabitants. The town is flanked to the east by small cays with pristine white sands, to the west by the Cuare Wildlife Refuge wetland, and to the south by the Golfete de Cuare. Originally home to the Chiparacoto Indians, Chichiriviche's name comes from the Carib language of the CaquetÃa tribe, meaning "place where our sun rises."
