Elephants are the largest living land animals. they are herbivorous and will eat leaves, twigs, fruit, bark, grass, and roots, up to six-hundred sixty pounds a day. They drink around eleven gallons of water a day. The photograph was taken from a safari vehicle based at the Atzaro Okavango Camp. The binomial name is Loxodonta africana.
