Pictured are male and female common ostriches walking in a savannah in the Okavango Delta in Botswana, Africa. Males have a distinctive black plumage and females a more subdued light brown plumage. They are the heaviest and largest living birds and are flightless. With their ability to run at forty-three miles per hour, they are also the fastest birds on land.
