Sutro Baths San Francisco 11 #324221229
Description
When Adolph Sutro opened his public bath houses near his already opened Cliff House and the Seal Rocks in 1894, it was the world's largest indoor swimming pool. This was also at a time when private indoor plumbing was still very rare. Ultimately the Great Depression caused a great drop in customers and he lost many customers. Finally a fire in 1966 destroyed what was left of the baths. Now a part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, it is now a popular tourist and wedding photographers background once again.
