Description
One of the most beautiful Renaissance complexes is Hämelschenburg Palace in the Weser Uplands, situated between Bad Pyrmont and Hamelin, Germany. The moated castle was erected in 1588 at the behest of Jürgen Klencke and his wife Anna von Holle. It is owned by the same family to this day. The castle was constructed at the height of the Weser Renaissance period. Along with the agricultural buildings, church and gardens, it forms a walled and completely preserved compound.
