Native to the high plateaus of the Ladakh region of India, the white Pashmina goats seen here on a farm are being led out to graze is also known as the Changthangi or Changpa goat and has been domesticated to produce the highly sought after ultra-soft cashmere, which is manufactured from the undercoat or Pashmina, a result of adaptation to the harsh environment the goats live in.
