Description
The Red Sea, one of the saltiest seas in the world, is located between Africa and Asia and covers approximately 438,000 km2 (169,100 mi2). Hundreds of hard and soft corals surround this area and are best seen from September to November when visibility is high. The best way to explore the underwater world of the Red Sea is with a live board. When diving in the Red Sea, you will find unique species of fish that you won't find anywhere else, such as the Great Seahorse, the Smooth Star-spotted Dog, the deep sea scorpion fish, the Glowbelly, and the Big-Eyed Dog Shark, among many others. Sightings of ground sharks and manta rays are also known in the Red Sea.
