European Hare (Lepus europaeus) in a Green Field #327044545
Description
The European Hare (Lepus europaeus) is a large, agile mammal native to Europe and parts of western Asia. Characterized by its long ears with black tips, powerful hind legs, and a tawny-brown coat with a white underside, this species is well-adapted for fast running and leaping. It typically inhabits open fields, grasslands, and farmlands, where it feeds on grasses, herbs, and crops. Unlike rabbits, European Hares do not dig burrows but rest in shallow depressions called forms. They are known for their swift movements and are often seen in solitary or small groups, especially during the breeding season when they engage in notable "boxing" behavior.
