Fukutoku Shrine in NihonbashiLocated to the east of Mitsukoshimae Station on the Tokyo MetroIt is said to have been enshrined there since the Jogan era (859-876)When Tokugawa Hidetada, the second shogun of the Edo Shogunate, visited the shrine on January 28, 1614, he saw young spring buds sprouting from the torii gate with the bark of a Japanese oak tree, and gave the shrine another name, Mebuki Inari (mebuki inari).
