Description
Alberobello is a small town and comune in the Italian province of Bari in Puglia and is famous for its unique trulli constructions. They are part of the UNESCO World Heritage sites list since 1996. A trullo is a traditional Apulian dry stone hut with a conical roof constructed as temporary field shelters and storehouses or as permanent dwelling by small proprietors or agricultural labourers. Their golden age was the 19th century.
