Description
Founded by the Soviet government in 1941, the Ural was designed based upon the BMW R-71 BMW motorcycle built in Germany. It's original use was strictly military during and after WWII. Sometime after the war, motorcycles were built for the civilian market. Most of its customers are in the United States, Japan, and Australia. The company is headquartered in Redmond, Washington, and the bikes are built in a factory in Petropaval, Kazakhstan.
