Description
Pictured is the bronze plaque on the base of the Thomas Wolfe Memorial Angel sculpture outside the Asheville Museum in the Pack Memorial Library in Asheville, North Carolina. Wolfe was a major American novelist of the first half of the twentieth century and is North Carolina's most famous writer. He was born October 3rd, 1900 and died September 15th, 1938, eighteen days before his 38th birthday. He died of miliary tuberculosis which overran the entire right side of his brain.
