Hibiscus Moscheutos, crimsoneyed rose mallow. Family Mavaceae. Cold hardy perennial wetland plant that can grow in large colonies. Found in wetlands from Texas to the Atlantic States extending to southern Ontario. Some parts of this plant are edible and also has medicinal uses. In Canada, this plant is listed as a plant of special concern under The Species at Risk Act The flower colours varies from crimson red to white.
