The Eastern Dispensary in Leman Street, East London. The Eastern Dispensary was founded in 1782 by a group of doctors, with the support of the Duke of Wellington, to provide health treatment to the poor of the East End of London. This building was built in 1858. The dispensary closed in 1940 and was converted into a public house in 1998.
