The last fragments of primeval forests in the Central European Plain have been preserved in the Bia?owie?a Forest. The forest is dominated by deciduous and mixed forests. There is a phenomenon of loss of Scots pine from the habitats of the Bia?owie?a National Park (BPN) in favor of deciduous species.There are 26 species of trees growing in the forest, not including species cultivated by humans in parks. The pedunculate oak is distinguished by its size and age, the tallest tree is the spruce. Among the species that until recently appeared in the Forest, the yew has disappeared. The silver fir is an endangered species. On the other hand, new species have appeared in the Forest as a result of human activity.
