Description
Meguro Mita Kasuga Shrine is a shrine located in Mita, Meguro Ward, Tokyo, Japan.It was founded in 958. It is said that when the governor of Musashi Province, Fujiwara Masafusa-kyo, was appointed to the province, he enshrined the spirit of Kasuga Taisha Shrine in Nara, Yamato Province, which was the clan deity of the Fujiwara clan and the imperial family's maternal relatives. It is said that Ota Dokan moved Kasuga Shrine to Mita, Minato Ward (according to the history of Mita Kasuga Shrine in Minato Ward, it was moved in the Tenbun era (1533-55) and built this shrine on the site in 1934.
