Nikau Palm Rhopalostylis Sapida Royalty-Free Stock Photo

This beautiful Nikau palm, Rhopalostylis sapida, is native to only New Zealand. As such, the Nikau word comes from the native Maori, which refers to the fronds, the leafs of palms and ferns. Besides providing the trees name, the Maori also showed this tree is a good source of food, as well as for cooking to contain the foods, and making baskets to waterproof roofs.
