Description
Drumstick tree (Moringa oleifera) is a fast-growing, drought-resistant tree of the family Moringaceae, native to the Indian subcontinent and used extensively in South and Southeast Asia. Common names include moringa, horseradish tree or malunggay. It is widely cultivated for its young seed pods and leaves, used as vegetables and for traditional herbal medicine. Leaves build up feathery foliage. Flowers are fragrant and fruits are hanging, three-sided, brown, capsule, which holds dark brown, globular seeds that have three whitish, papery wings and are dispersed by wind and water.
