Description
Styphrolobium Japonicum (L.) Schott is a deciduous tree in the Fabaceae family. The bark is dark gray, the crown is spherical, and when old, it is flattened or inverted. Branches and leaves densely grow, with feather like compound leaves. The inflorescence is terminal, with butterfly shaped flowers. It blooms yellow white flowers in summer and has a slight fragrance. The pod is fleshy, bead shaped without cracking, yellow green, often hanging from tree branches, does not fall in winter, and contains seeds. Seed kidney shaped, brownish black.
