Knight's Armour On Display At Provident Bank Stadium Club In Piscataway, NJ Editorial Image

The metal armour of a knight is displayed at the Provident Bank Stadium Club within SHI Stadium in Piscataway, NJ. Rutgers shield insignias provide the background. Rutgers University's mascot, or nickname is the Scarlet Knights. The Knight is not an unfamiliar symbol for high schools and colleges across the United States. Among more prominent institutions of higher education one notes the Black Knights of the Hudson (Army, or West Point), the Golden Knights (University of Central Florida in Orlando), and the Knights of Fairleigh Dickinson University (at their Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck and Hackensack, New Jersey). The display at the Provident Bank Stadium Club was presumably shown to enhance school spirit the day of the homecoming NCAA Division 1 Big 10 Conference game between Rutgers and the Bruins from UCLA. This marked the first time in Rutgers 155-year football history that they have played this team from Los Angeles on the gridiron.
