Jim Schug Trail hiking in Autumn Fall Foliage a rail trail in Dryden NewYork #342029297
Description
The Jim Schug Trail runs along the old Railroad Bed through the Village of Dryden, NewYorkState. It is an excellent example of repurposing abandoned rail lines into multiuse trails. Hikers, cyclists, runners, dog walkers and equestrians all share the broad and flat trail in spring-summer and fall while snowshoers and cross-country skiers take over in the winter. The majority of the trail is flanked by swamps, wetlands, and ponds with the more remote and wild portions bordering Dryden Lake.
